Damn!
This new blog is putting my old one, and all blogs I’ve ever run to shame. Lol.
I’ve run this blog (TUK) for slightly more than a year now, and put in hours and hours of work into it – you can see the amount of people that have subscribed to read updates on the top right – around 1,130.
I launch Make Money Dynamo with a friend three days ago… current amount of subscribers, 1,273!
If I knew it was this easy one year ago, I would have been a millionaire by now. No joke.
1,200+ subscribers mainly because of one free report that took me less than a couple hours to write… that’s something. And it’s something that any of you could duplicate.
Yes, I’m working with a partner on this one, but collectively we haven’t done that much work. Around a couple hours (not including me writing the report) each. Compare that to one year of me working on this blog, and you’ll see that I’m going pretty wrong.
There are only three main ways that the site has been promoted till now.
1. This blog. However, I don’t think this blog brought in that many subscribers – only a couple hundred maybe. The reason for this is that in the past, I’ve mentioned other projects on this blog and they haven’t really converted, and the blog sent around 400 uniques to the new website.
2. Other blogs. We did a few blog comments between us and were mentioned on Grizz’s make money online blog (which has 2,000+ subscribers and sent decent traffic) and JR’s internet marketing blog.
3. A WARRIOR SPECIAL OFFER. I wrote a post a few days ago about how anyone could make money there… it looks like anyone can build a list there too. Just focus on offering something of value.
It’s sent the bulk of the subscribers and cost me $20. $20 for promoting that will last me quite a long time.
You’ve seen what can be done if you’re willing to work smart (NOT hard). Now go and duplicate it.
The great thing for you guys is that because there are so many people looking at what’s already on the new blog, we have to keep up levels of quality. Put out crap and people will leave in droves. However, I’m quite sure that we can stick to offering what we intended to.
I asked these questions yesterday, and I thank all those that have gotten back to me… but I’d love to hear more thoughts, suggestions, requests.
What topics do you want to be covered on Make Money Dynamo?
Who already making money out there would you like to see interviewed?
The answers to both will shape how it runs over the next few months.
Again, if you like the stuff, throw us a link, tell a friend, we don’t bite.
You can see the landing page that’s converting pretty awesomely well here.
Lastly… I ran a mini contest a few days ago but completely forgot about it. Oops.
The contest was for two free custom eCover designs, chosen at random.
1. Tom @ Stand Out Blogger
2. Mirjam @ MeMyselfAndI Blog
I’ll contact both of you sometime tomorrow with more details using the email address you commented with. Thanks for sticking around all!

Sh-t I just realized that while I plugged your e-book and Dynamo and read it with excitement, I never subscribed to Dynamo, so make that 1274!
The RSS count is very cool, I imagine that the trust you built up here and the hard work will now allow you to piggyback on that to the new one’s success. The e-book really was a winner, hands-on, valuable and easy to read.
Congrat’s and thanks for the link luv!! Oh and congrats to the winners!

Nice work, that is definitely an awesome start! I’ve subscribed and I’m looking forward to the awesome posts you put out.
I just read your post over at superbloggingtips about controversial posts. I haven’t seen one of those on TUK in a while. I used to love those posts here and the stir they created. Not that I want you to “create” controversy but it would be nice to see some more personal “how I feel” type posts again!

I personally don’t think that gaining subscribers through an “ebook” or some sort of “newsletter” is that beneficial. Yes, the number would sky-rocket, but that’s about it. I usually just use a fake or unused e-mail to gain the download link of an ebook. Through feedburner, you would need to tell us the “DAILY REACH” or something similar to that, which would show the actual amount of subscribers that are engaging in your content. I haven’t used feedburner for a long time, so I forgot what it’s called.
