There are loads of ways you can make money from your blog. A lot of them you would have heard of before. Using adsense, selling private ads, selling paid reviews, selling text links, selling ebooks. The ways you can make money from your blog are almost unlimited.
I want to show you another way you can make money on your blog. This is a way I have not seen used very much. I have only seen it used a couple of times and I am only just starting to use it on my blog.
You have seen signatures in forum posts and you have seen signatures on ezinearticles but you will rarely see signatures on blog posts. Adding a signature to your blog post can be an effective way to make money. Here are a few ways you can make money by adding a signature to your blog posts
Marketing Affiliate Products
You can do a quick pitch for an affiliate product and provide your affiliate link in your signature. That way when people click on the link and buy something (or complete an offer) you make money. This is one of the easiest ways to make money from a signature
Marketing Your Own Product
If you have created your own products then this can be a great way to market them and get some extra sales. Talk quickly about your product and then add a link to the page people can buy it from.
Building a Newsletter Subscriber List
This method does not make you money immediately but you can use signatures to get people to subscriber to your RSS feed, or even better to get people to subscribe to your newsletter. Once people subscribe to your newsletter you can send them
Now I want to teach you how you can get the best results with your signatures.
Make Your Signature Relevant To The Post
There is no point me advertising weight loss products on a post about how to make money online. You need to make your signature relevant to whatever you are talking about. This way more of your readers will be interested in the product/service you are offering them.
Try To Fulfill The Needs People Reading Your Post Have
It is likely that a lot of people will read your post with a need. They might need to lose some weight, they might need to make some more money, they might need a number of things. What you need to do is tap into their need and offer them the perfect solution. Then they will be thanking you for selling you a product.
Give a Specific Call To Action
It helps if you have a specific call to action in your signature. People don’t just click on links because they are there, but people do what you tell them to do
. So tell them to go to this site and sign up and some of them will.
Make It Blend In.
Sometimes it pays to make your signature blend it. This is because people are now becoming so used to ads that they are ad blind. They don’t see the ads anymore. My signatures look exactly like the post I am writing and I write a new signature for every post I do, it is relevant and people just continue reading the post all the way down to the signature.
Don’t Try and Trick People
Don’t try and trick people and get them to sign up for a product you know is a piece of crap just so you can make a quick buck. This will just lose you readers and future customers. Instead, only offer top quality products that you know your readers will enjoy and love.
Offer Discounts
People love discounts or bonus offers. Offer them something special and they will just at the chance to save some money. It is not about how much it costs but how much you save.
Ok so now you should be well equipped to start creating signatures for all your blog posts and making some money from that traffic you are getting. Go through your old blog posts and add signatures, it won’t annoy your regulars (because none of them really read your old posts) and it will make you some money from the search engine traffic. This is what I plan to do with my blog.

Hey Ryan,
your last post was very good. I read many other posts too. The popular ones, I enjoyed them greatly.
But I less enjoyed the few new ones except the last one.
But you are back again with a great one
I am always in search of posts like these. Although I know all these ways but we all need some forces that ca make us recall them time to time.
It was an awesome post.
Can you answer my question?
How much do you earn from this blog and how many other ventures do you have?
Regards
Laksh

I like this idea, as 99% percent of people coming from search engines are looking for a solution, adding an affiliate link in your signature should get a pretty good click-thru rate. Defiantly going to try it. Thanks.

And how will the sales skyrocket then? Making passive income for credibility of a site is feasible but getting ton of sales is not…

Great post. You should always mask your affiliate links. That way they only can guess if your links are affiliates.

I sell and market affiliate products from my blog as well. A good way to earn income indeed from your blog.
I also advise that affiliates cloak their links when posting on blogs. These precludes affiliate theft and makes you secure that people will sign up under you and you’ll get credit for it.

Nice idea, its refreshing to read something that hasn’t been preached before.
If you are blogging in a niche (i.e. the posts are fairly closely related), and have one product or resource that your particularly want to bring to your reader’s attention over a number of posts, then presumably the relevance to each individual post is less of an issue ? Or, in your experience, is this technique dramatically more effective when targeted specifically at the subject matter of the post it follows ?
Regards, and thanks for the post.

And a lot more I guess… Most people are tricked that the only way they can make money is through an ad/s either selling directly or running third party ad networks such as Adsense

A great idea. After all, if you write about an experience involving a particular product that you liked, then it just makes sense to provide a link (affiliate link) to it at the bottom of your post. You’re not duping your readers if you sincerely like the product, and had a good experience with it.

Cool Ryan, this never really crossed my mind, thanks. It’s always nice when something so simple as a post signature can earn money.
I think I need to take some brain vitamins.
I also have to get over the problem I have with asking people to take action. I am working on that one.

I don’t really like signatures in comments. They kind of look like spam and may get the comment deleted on some blogs. Also, most blogs don’t use CommentLuv, so you’ll get a nofollow link. I only post links in comments when they point to some additional information. That will certainly drive traffic.
