A lot of bloggers and people involved in the Internet Marketing niche don’t know a lot about Article Marketing. But this is one of the easiest and best ways to make money online through affiliate marketing. I am going to outline the basics of article marketing and how you can make money from it.

You Find An Affiliate Offer

First you need to find an affiliate offer you want to promote. There are a variety of affiliate networks out there that you can work with. For beginners I recommend Motive Interactive because they have a really easy user interface and a lot of the offers are simple email submits so you can convert people easily. You don’t have to sell anything they just have to enter their email.

You Find Your Keywords

Now that you have your product you need to find keywords to attract people to that product. Try and get in the mindset of the customer and think like they would think. What would they type into google to find the offer you have? A lot of traffic is not good if you don’t get any conversions so you need to use keywords to attract people with the right mindset.

You Write Articles Based On Those Keywords

You then need to write articles based on those keywords. When it comes to SEO for these articles you need to remember 3 major things.

- Put the keyword phrase in the title

This is the most important thing. If you want to rank well then you need to put your keyword phrase in the title. Fail to do this and you will lose a lot of money.

- Put the keyword phrase in the first sentence/paragraph

The next most important thing is placing the keyword phrase in the first sentence (or first paragraph if it won’t work in the first sentence). This tells the search engines that your article is focusing on that keyword phrase. This will rank you higher

- Put the keyword phrase in bold

Put your keyword phrase in bold ONCE throughout the article. This will help highlight it to the search engines.

You Submit Your Articles To Free Article Directories

Now that you have your articles written you need to submit them to free article directories. The best article directory is EzineArticles and then after that GoArticles is the next best. Only submit each individual article to ONE directory. Don’t submit it to many. Write new articles for each individual directory.

The reason we are submitting our articles to EzineArticles instead of our own blog is that EzineArticles has a Page Rank of 7 so it makes it really easy to get ranked well in Google. So unless your blog has a page rank of 7 or higher stick with the Article Directories. You will get ranked higher, get more hits and more conversions, which is how you will make your money.

People Click on Your Signature and Conversions Make Your Money

When you submit an article to an Article Directory you get to place a ’signature’ at the bottom of your article. I wrote about Writing Signatures To Make Money here so check that out if you need help writing your signature.

Basically people will visit your article, read it and then read your signature. Hopefully they will click on the link in your signature and sign up for your offer. If they do you make money.

This is a simple yet effective way to make money. It has no start up cost as you can write the articles and submit them for free and it can bring in a lot of income every month. You work once and you reap the rewards for months to come.

If you really want to earn a lot of money from this then I suggest you outsource your article writing. Get others to write your articles and pay them for it it. Then you can churn out more articles and make more money in the long run.
