Alright, I know a few of you find my blog somewhat interesting, but these are the posts you all wait for. The one thing a make money online blog must do is post earning stats – to give out advice, you have to be doing it yourself. I stay extremely wary of bloggers that don’t post their statistics – it is easy to talk the talk, but not so easy to walk it – and if you can’t walk it, then why am I taking advice from you?

Now, before I post – my statistics are by no means exemplary; heck, they could have been a lot better but ah well. Family stuff and me relaxing a bit too much (happens when you get a tonne of holidays :) ) means that I was fighting an uphill battle.

Paypal

Last month I earned a decent amount – being someone that doesn’t like to keep too much in his Paypal, mainly due to all the hundreds of stories of people being limited, hacked or whatnot I’m wary of keeping more than $2,000 in there. Another bad thing is that I don’t empty my account every month, so have to do all this calculation crap (Paypal should do it themselves  ) – if I remove all funds, I’m scared I’ll come across an amazing deal (like some idiot selling an LLL.com for $100) and not have the money to purchase.

Anyways, at the end of last month I didn’t remove funds, because I was of course waiting for the site money to come in – let’s try and put this together.

At the end of last month, I had $1307.94 sitting in my Paypal account. (from December)

Soon after I received the money for my eBook site, I withdrew $2,500 on January 2nd.

Leaving $2,500 – $1307.94 = 1192.06 so far this month (which was withdrawn).

At the end of the month, I currently have

Which means the total in Paypal for the month is $1192.06 + 1346.02 = $2538.08

That’s my main earnings; the rest are minimal. Anyways, to round them up:

Affiliate Marketing

My goal was to earn $100 through affiliate marketing this month. For that, I used Hostican and NeverBlue Ads.

Hostican

I made one affiliate sale, mainly due to this article.

One of those a month and I’ll be a happy bunny. Considering they pay $70 for a $90 sale, it’s worth joining Hostican just for their affiliate program. Make sure you use the coupon code BestHosting-12 to get $50 off :)

NeverBlue Ads

I started off with a bang – earning $18 with a $3 investment on my first day, and thought I could easily do $100 by the end of the month – my Adwords account stopped working and it ended up getting me one click per 100,000 impressions or similar. Anyways, I’ll be working on it a bit more once I can get it working, but earnings for the month were $23.7.

MultiHoster

Total from affiliate earnings in January, 2008: $23.7 + $70 = $93.7

Goal failed. I’ll work harder next month, if I have time – sadly, the Text Link Ad Network brought in zilch :(

Adsense

At the start of the month my earnings died because I got rid of most of my proxies and failed to switch over the others onto a decent server. Anyways, I’m not going to be promoting them until I get my PIN – it’s been three months already without it, despite contacting them quite a bit.

MultiHoster

Adsense for January: $33.23

Total earned in January, 2008: $2538.08 + $93.7 + $33.23 = $2665.01

Better than last month, which is improvement in my book – yes, it could have been more, but I wouldn’t mind the same amount of improvement next month :)

Last but not least, I’ve bought advertising (in rotation, but it’s still advertising  ) on Shoemoney for the next four weeks through Adtoll. Go there and refresh the page a couple thousands times, and you should see it at least once. So far I’ve had eight clicks at a CPC of $0.34 each… not bad, I guess :)

How did you do in January, 2008?
