We know! Yes we know! We know that some people are making a living online, we know that some people can afford any of their monetary desires from their earnings online but the question remains, Why Can’t You?
Why can’t you make a living online? Why are you struggling for success while you see others reach greater and greater heights, seemingly with ease?
Do not despair! There is no hype here because I am not trying to market anything to you but I want to tell you five things you need to do if you want to start making money online.
1. You Have Not Started: Yes! You have not started, you haven’t made an attempt yet, you haven’t even raised a finger, you are just reading the same things again and again but you are yet to implement any of what you read. Take action today and you can now focus on the next step.
2. Overcome Your Fears: I know that feeling that feels like it can almost swallow you whole! But it isn’t supposed to be so. Let me ask you! Why are you afraid? Try to think over it again and again and you will see that there is no justifiable reason for you to fear. Eliminate your fears, believe you can achieve it, forget about your tomorrow… just think today, Implement your ideas and you will have a much better chance of reaching your goals.
3. Information Overload: How often do you just try to read and read and read until you don’t know what to do?Utilize what is in your head and decide to follow one strategy to the fullest before you embark on another one. When you read 10 different ebooks on affiliate marketing, blogging, freelancing etc, you will get to the realization that you don’t know where to start. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying reading is bad, it is necessary at times… but what I am saying is keep implementing as you are reading in order to avoid analysis paralysis.
4. Understand That Mistakes Are Necessary: You will have problems when you start out – most do and a perfect start is almost impossible. Learn to make mistakes and learn from your mistakes. In fact, continually testing and tweaking because of mistakes will refine your skills and eventually make you great. If things are going along too smoothly, what are you learning?
5. Be Patient: Have you ever heard that success doesn’t come overnight? Well, you heard it right. You have to be patient and wait to see the results of what you have been doing; the common phrase states that people stop digging just before they hit gold. The fact that everything isn’t going on well now doesn’t mean you have to quit, try and fix your mistakes before dropping your project that looks doomed to fail and be patient – without this you will not make money online.
The following are five things you NEED to do to start making money online, try and implement them and you are sure to see success.

I like the bullet point on information overload, and I think one of the best things you can do for yourself is to sit down and try out what you are reading before moving on and trying to take on a bigger challenge. When you can break it up and do a lot of the smaller things, that’s typically when you have your best success.

It is good to know that A Nigerian like me wrote this wonderful article.
This is information all newbies who are struggling to get started will need to read. Many are impatient when they are just starting out.
It took me over a year to make my first $100 but never gave up and I am enjoying the result of not giving up now.

Thanks For Sharing!
My first internet sales was after a week I launched a PPC campaign.
It doesn’t make me a lot of money on that particular campaign but give me faith to do what I am doing today.
Imagine if I stop on the first few days, I will never believe in making money online anymore.

Hi,
Very relatable post! I used to be the type to consume, consume, consume information and not apply, and wanting to take the perfect steps.
And then, one day I stopped and put it all into action, hence my blog. I haven’t hit it “big” yet, but now I kn ow there’s no reason NOT to. I just need to put in the effort.

Great post. I think the desire to consume as much information as possible is one way to procrastinate at least it was for me. And usually the desire to procrastinate is tied to a fear of failure. The sooner you get over that the better of you will be.

I think the main reason people don’t make money online is because they lose patients — making money online takes a long time and I know from experience.
This all stems back to people having high expectations. There is nothing wrong with having high expectations as long as you have patients or thick-skin…or ideally both.

I am a writer and is involved into Internet business. And even though all of the above is applicable to any kind of business, they are a kinda helping. I would say one more: write everything down! This is how you can analyze what you’ve done. Just keep the log of your actions and it will help you improve your further actions.

The point that applies to me the most is Info. Overload.
I get caught up in so many things I don’t take the time to just focus on one subject and proceed to implement what I’ve learned.
I think it’s best to take things step-by-step one at a time.
Blocking out enticing techniques and methods will really help keep you focused on that one particular subject. Don’t give up.
I’m still learning from my weaknesses.

I was guilty of number 1. I found myself enjoying reading all of the A-listers blogs for so long and then I found out, I haven’t done anything yet for myself. I kept on praising them but not doing anything for me.
Once you learn something from them, apply it and in the process, you’ll slowly making it happen for yourself.

The be patient section is probably the most important. Many people get past the first three pretty easily, but it’s the waiting for results is often the reason why they fail.

And the most important thing is picking the right niche and sticking to it. A lot of people (and I used to as well) believe that only MMO (Make Money Online) niche can actually earn money for you. In fact, there are far better niches where you can mint big time money.

Great post
One thing I would like to point out to anyone looking to make money online:
The “brick walls” (the point at which you decide to work even harder or give up due to lack of success) are there for people who don’t want it bad enough
If you want success, you have to want it enough to push past those “walls”
I always liked that metaphor, and its stayed true for me.
