The last week has been filled with (hopefully!) decent content, so I’m going to apologize for this post as it won’t give you anything of much value… basically, I’m taking a break.

In Dubai, the weekend is Friday-Saturday, so this is essentially the start of it; anyways, with four exams over the past few days, my mind isn’t really up for much quality content, and as there is plenty of it out there I’m sure you guys can survive a solitary day without something that helps you @ TUK. :)

If you want something of decent value, read a couple of the mosts I’ve written in the last week, if you haven’t already – they can help.

1) How To Weigh Up The Credibility of A Blog

2) Partnerships… The Key To Success Online?

3) Interview with Buzz Marketer Dean Hunt

Some fairly decent stuff. Apologies for yesterday’s paid post, but I have promised myself that I will try to make some decent money blogging and paid posts are a way to do that – even though I’ve turned down 3-4 in the last couple weeks. Hopefully yesterday’s paid review was somewhat useful, as a lot of webmasters need reasonably priced content for their websites, and CWC provide that.

Giving into peer pressure

I promised myself I won’t do this, mainly because I couldn’t be bothered too… after being poked numerous times on instant messenger, I finally decided to give in. I’m talking about Twitter here. Twitter has been gaining quite a lot of buzz in the blogosphere, mainly after Problogger and then a few others posted about it… I don’t really see the point at the moment to be honest as it’s like instant messenger except slower, but it’s supposed to be good from what I’ve heard. There are quite a few big names in the blogosphere on it; anyways, feel free to follow me.

Blog Premiere

I finally bought the Premium News Theme (Gazette edition) and will work on setting stuff up throughout the next week – it was simply the theme that I liked best out of the lot, as it’s used a lot less than Brian Gardner’s Revolution theme (which is kick ass too). With the right bits of customization, I think it could be tweaked into something that looks fairly professional, as that’s the image I want to give off; anyways, will update here of course :)

I am still playing around with the theme and stuff but you can check out the website – it is up :)

Advertising slots

TUK advertising slots are in hot demand at the moment – I have just the solitary ad in the sidebar open (which I’ll be keeping to promote Blog Premiere) and although two advertising slots expire tomorrow, I have plenty of people that are interested in purchasing, so if you are too make sure you get in quickly. I’m also experimenting with an in-post ad, which you can see an example of above – I put this there as an example as I want reader opinion; if you guys think it is too much, I will hold off; if you think it is alright, I’ll keep it up. In post advertising of course offers advertisers to be displayed to the RSS feed, something that other advertising slots don’t; anyways, if anyone is interested on negotiating a price for that slot, ping me through email or MSN. :)

Blogs Are Still Worth A Lot

Not sure how many of you follow happenings in the blogosphere, anyways BloggingExperiment.com sold for five figures (that’s $xx,xxx) last week while One Mans Goal has gone under the hammer today with the current bid at $6,000 – considering it sold for $8,500 first time around and earnings/site value has only increased since then, it has a good chance of fetching five figures as well. The value of blogs are not as high as they were a few months ago (which was around $30/subscriber), however to see websites that are less than a year old… well, that’s the reason I started MMOKid. The goal with that is to develop for a couple of months, and then sell; you can help me by subscribing to its feed, as I have a few interesting plans for the website. :)

John Chow Smokes Weed

My last point for today, as I’ve put in a good few hours on work and stuff; anyways, here’s what John Chow looks like after a couple hits on the bong pipe

Hilarious stuff, although half of it was jacked from Russell Peters… :)
