Last time I had to disappear from blogging was for my exams – I only realised that I wasn’t going to be updating the day after I started writing them, so had to try and get guest bloggers – anyways, rather than wait till I’m stuck in India without a computer, might as well sort the whole thing out way, way, way in advance.
Anyways, basically – I’ll be away for ten or so days, and trying to keep with this blog being updated more or less every day till now, I’ll be looking for ten guest blog posts. I’d prefer they be all different bloggers, to try and get in an as large range of opinions as possible for TUK readers, but if that isn’t possible you can go twice.
How will writing a guest post on here help you?
First off, I have no problem with you plugging your site – feel free to link to it. I obviously won’t take posts that are solely advertisements, but if you’re offering informative content it is only fair that people should get to see where it came from. Submitting a guest post here should allow you to nick some of my traffic (if it’s a decent post, of course) – the readers here are pretty comment-friendly and if they like your post I’m sure they’ll take a look at your site. You’ll also be getting a PR3 front page link while it is on the front page and a post on a blog with 75k or so Alexa – that’s great for exposure if you’re looking to get your site noticed.
I’m not a strict person, so as long as you provide something semi-decent (a bit hypocritical coming from me, but ah well 
) I’ll put it up – blatant spam will not be tolerated though. Let’s hope this works, eh 
To contribute as a guest poster, it’s actually quite easy – none of this HTML rubbish; you can register as a new user and it should allow you to write up drafts. Let me know that you’re doing one (you can comment on this post) so that I can scratch one day off the list – it’d be better if it was done before the 13th so that I could timestamp them to go off daily. If you have a topic you’re not sure about, just run it by me.
Last thing – please, oh please spell check your post. Firefox has their auto checker, and you could always use MS Word if needed too. A few grammar/spelling mistakes are alright, but wen u srtat wrintng teh whloe psot lik tis, we hvae pborlems.
I’ll keep it short – you might notice a couple of additions to the sidebar – one for Winning The Web and another for Viking Blogger, two guys with decent blogs of their own – take a look. I’ll also be putting up one for Internet Babel when he sends me his ad… anyways, that’s all for today

I’ll guest blog for you for a day. I’m try to keep a legit blog, but I think I’ve got some “black magic” tricks that might be fun to share. This seems like it might be a pretty good place to share some of that? What do you think?

Jason, I’ve pretty much written the post and left it as a draft. Check it out and let me know if that’s passable? I didn’t completely give away tips, but hinted enough and if you really want to know you can just friend me on Digg or StumbleUpon and send me a message. I don’t necessarily want to put them out on the web, ya know. I’ve got a little tinkering to do, but tell me what you think man.

Argh. If you start giving people tips on what to do it adds more competition. LOL. Selfish, yes… but websites pay my bills! Deep dark secrets are still fine, but I sense they will be uncovered soon.

I guess it isn’t exactly the right place to ask about such a thing, but.. Does your host offer one-click-WP updates? I saw a ton of companies offering one-click installs (Fantastico), but actually, it seems for me that it is the upgrading that will take more time in the long run.. :/
