Listen up because I want to talk about some deadly powerful marketing strategies today.
There is nothing and I mean nothing that gives you more power in internet marketing then having your own unique product.
If you already making some good money as an affiliate, adsense publisher or some other sort of marketer then this is the next “evolution” in your business.
If you are a newbie and are just getting started – then consider yourself lucky that you discovered this crucial information so early.
I have dozens of my own products in all sorts of niches & believe me once you start developing products you’ll never go back.
Not only can you skyrocket your income, you also build a reputation, open up whole new worlds of networking and are able to start building the holy grail of business – your own customer list.
That means you’ll be able to join the top 2% of earners online. Don’t believe me? Look at the some of the highest earning marketers!
John Reese, Vincent James, Gary Halbert, Mike Filsaime & Eban Pagan all testify to this point.
Even Carl has his own products
You Need Your Own Product!
Have I sold you on the benefits of creating your own product? Good.
Now, seeing as we’ve discussed the benefits there is a small… ummm… problem we need to talk about.
Don’t worry my friend, it’s not that bad. But making information products isn’t always the easiest things in the world.
When was the last time you tried to write a 60 page ebook?
Of course, you can always outsource it to a quality ghostwriter. But not everyone has a spare $700-$1,000 in the bank to spare. I know when I first started internet marketing I certainly didn’t.
So how can a complete newbie make a product fast?
It’s simple: Interview other experts in the market.
How do you do that?
How do you turn that into a product?
What makes that so fast?
WOW! So many questions – let’s just chill out…
Here’s The Blueprint…
The first thing you need to do is to strategically choose exactly who you want to be involved with.
If you could have any expert in your market help build a product with you?
The reason for this will become apparent later, but for now you just need to figure out who the Players or Guru’s (I hate that word) in your market are.
Every market has a group of elite that are respected, popular and well known – what we want to do is tap into their credibility to help sell our own product.
You need to ask them for an interview. You can get contact details by looking up their domain name at whois.net
Everyone has their own unique approach to doing this – but I like to email or snail mail them a letter using a template along the lines of…
Hello (NAME),
We have never met before but I’ve been on your list for the last few weeks and I really have enjoyed some of your content.
Expecially what you wrote about… (INSERT here what Dale Carnegie would call “sincere praise”)
Anyways, I know you are busy so I’ll cut to the chase.
I’m putting together a new teleseminar series with some of the biggest EXPERTS in (Whatever market you’re in) and your name naturally came up.
When it’s done I envision the interviews will be going out to thousands of people.
This would be an awesome way to promote your products to targetted listeners, as you can pitch your product on the call at the end.
Already (guru name), (guru name) & (guru name) have already signed up to be on – and I would love if you could join us.
I need to know by 00/00/00 as we really need to get started with this project.
If you’re interested please let me know!
(YOUR NAME)
NOTICED how you need to:
- Keep it Personal: People will be offended if you just send out some sort of bland and general template that can be easily seen through.
- Introduce Yourself: You’re not just another random person who wants something off them, you are a loyal reader & fan.
- Show them the benefits of being interviewed by you: Remember people rarley ever do things for no reason, they want something out of it themselves. You need to show them why agreeing to your interview will help them.
- Use other Big names to get to a “YES” – this is even more important to do if you haven’t got much credibility or exposure in your market. You need to mention the big names that are already involved in this project. Chances are they’ll take you more seriously & you’ll increase the liklihood of them agreeing.
- Enforce a small factor of urgency or scarcity: If you go overboard on this part you’ll look like a loser. But I think it’s important to have some sort of deadline to make sure they don’t just toss aside your email & decide to deal with it later.
Once you have people that have agreed to be interviewed. You need to find the questions.
I suggest you search around forums in your market and find out what the hottest issues are and focus on them as questions. Most experts like to have the questions sent over in advance.
You’ll then need to schedule a time to do the call, tools like worldtimeserver.com can help you figure out the perfect time.
If you are on a low budget I would recommend that you do some shopping around on prices & make sure that your service records the call.
Even with just 7 teleseminars, you can easily get 6 1/2 hours of hard hitting content that you can put together and sell for a significant amount of money.
Even if you just did one call in a day, you could easily get that and sell it as a stand alone product.
Teleseminar recordings have high perceived value and sell like crazy. If you’re not using them you are really missing out!

Creating your own information products can do really well for you. In fact we just have to look at Jason the previous owner of this blog. He did quite well with info products.

Good idea. I’ve spend weeks creating my own products and this sounds like you could crank this out in a day! People are very likely to be willing to agree too because of the natural ego thing.

While in theory what you say is indeed very attractive, you need to have a great idea to create the product first. Try as I might, I am not finding it!
