I have been doing exactly this on many other blogs. Looking for blogs in my niche that are just a bit ahead of me and commenting them. For example if you get around 1,000 visitors per day then I will definately comment you to get some traffic. I’m a first timer at your website, and thanks for this article.

I started blogging with the mere intention of just polishing my writing, and publishing it on the web. I wanted to just get type my thoughts out and fling it into cyberspace. But for a time there, I got blinded by all the make-money-online schemes that I forgot why I started blogging in the first place.

And you’re right. Sometimes the blogging communities are a great place for so many “friends”, but very rarely do they actually leave well-thought out comments on what you actually wrote. I’d rather have little traffic but good and insightful comments by people who actually read my blog.
