First Q & A session went pretty well, by pretty well I meant few questions meaning less work for me.

Okay, let’s get started, then.

Flimjo asked:

Here is my question: What, in your opinion, has the most “staying power” as an income-generating asset? (a) a blog, (b) online business centered around a product, (c) affiliate niche website, (d) anything else you can thing of.

For me well… it’s got to be a blog, if you can get it to an A-List level. I know I’ve repeatedly said that blogs make jack all relative to the work put in, but once you are big… it is very unlikely you will come crashing down. Of course, you should employ aspects of affiliate marketing in a blog (building your own list etc…) so it could be considered a multiple-affiliate niche website.

Although I do think you can make a decent chunk on products, you can create products and sell them on an established blog too, so my personal answer to your question is a) a blog. Feel free to disagree of course, debate is always good.

Chetan asked:

Jason, what do you think might be the most decent thing to sponsor in a contest?(actually got this doubt as am going to hold a contest soon and need sponsors but not sure which type of prizes would look really cool)

If you’re talking about prizes that you sponsor, consultation time can’t be beat. You can give it a value (for example, consultation with me is probably worth around $0.1/hour, but I’ve said $50  ) and very few people end up claiming it so you get a chunk of backlinks for… nothing.

If you mean sponsored prizes for your own contest, premium themes can’t be beat. As long as they’re well done, they are something that any blogger can use (if you don’t need it, hold a contest to give it away). :)

Agent 001 asked:

Jason I have a question. How to comment on other blogs so as to attract people to your own blog?

You just have to think… would you like to see that comment on your own blog? Your comments should be insightful and add to the discussion, bring up a new point etc. I tend to visit all blogs of those that comment on TUK, especially if their comments are relevant and not one liners. :)

Elroy asked:

hi,
Can some one who dose not have good grammar start writing on blogs ? is there a tool to correct grammer

Definitely… two of the biggest bloggers around are crap at grammar (John Chow / Shoemoney) and they’ve repeatedly stated this. Just make sure to proof read x 1,000 and ask a friend (or ten) to look it over… that’s the best tool you could use.

Melvin asked:

uhmm jason this one is a little weird question, tuk. internet babel and thenetfool seem to have closely the same looked and i thought you’re on a network.. why do you look almost the same?

TUK, IB and TNF look the same because we’re all using the John Cow Milk It theme (link). No other reason. If it helps, TUK was created first…

Aleks asked:

I got question, how to check all list of do The University Kid Create New Post WordPressfollow blogs fast? Any other tool, you haven’t mentioned?

You will need to view source to check dofollow blogs… if you join Blog Premiere, I’m giving away a list there with 120+ dofollow blogs of varying Pagerank ;)

Rajaie asked:

Nothing really. Actually here’s one:

Jason, what should I ask you?

Personally, I’d say you should ask me the meaning of life… that’s what I tend to do when Q&A sessions come about. And no, I’m not telling you the answer

Rajaie also asked:

When you say that “the football is starting in 45 minutes” what do you mean by that? (Watching on tv, playing football outside, soccer? )

Although I also play football, in this case it is just watching. Euro 2008 is on! :D

tim asked:

I just found this blog, and I notice domain transactions are frequently mentioned. So how exactly do these work, since there is no specific option to do this when you own a domain?

It’s different depending on which registrar you use, but at the one where most of my domains are at (GoDaddy) all you do is login to y our domain panel and click Account Change (then enter their username and email).

When doing domain transactions, be wary and diligent and remember, never take Paypal for high value amounts (as if you get screwed, you get nothing).

Pretty quick to write this post, if you guys have any more questions leave them at the first post (or this one) and I’ll answer them in the future. Cheers guys :)
