Looks like there’s enough interest in this judging by comments yesterday and the emails I’ve gotten, so let’s get cracking.

Rules and all still yet to be finalized – however might as well get people to enter as soon as possible so I can draw groups etc.

I do know that there is another competition at SFU that was started a couple hours after this one – I have entered that, and I know a few of you guys have too. There is no reason you cannot do both :)

I wanted to run this one though because I thought that on things you guys needed to learn would be off:

Why I’ve made this an individual thing

Site flipping tends to be an individual art – especially if you focus on one month flips like we’ll be doing.

Although work is much easier in a group, remember you’ll also be splitting the end money. General month long flips don’t tend to sell for more than one, two, maybe three thousand maximum on average, so you’d make around $200 in a group or $1,000 working a little bit harder yourself at the lowest level.

This group thing will be fun, as people will share tips, work will be easier etc, which is why I’ve entered – however in the long run, you guys are going to have to learn how to flip websites individually; yes, you can outsource, but individually doing all the tasks yourself means you can rinse repeat etc in the future.

The type of sites we’ll be working on (blogs) only need around thirty minutes a day to work on after we’ve set them up, slightly less on weekends.

Anyways, I’ve picked up a decent domain for this, and if it goes well we can do this again in the future. For now, let’s have people entering though so that I can draw up groups etc.

I really want people to be inspired by this – to know that normal people, some of which had no prior experience can setup brand new blogs and sell them in a month for hundreds or thousands of dollars.
