How To Make Money At Home

Alright, I have a small confession – 20 minutes before writing this post, I was completely out of topics; would have taken a while to think of them, but luckily I had (and I know this is you guys’ favourite part of the whole blog) another idiot that I’ll now let you know the details of – I’m changing the subject of this blog from money making to a daily idiot revealing blog. Today’s dude was a pretty nice one, but a total douchebag nonetheless; it again involved my eBook, which is slowly turning into more and more trouble.

Now, all of you who have sold stuff on Digital Point will know about the annoyance of review copies; despite how many times you mention you’ve given them out, or how many times you mention you’ll only give them to members with xx iTrader and x amount of posts, there will always be twits that keep on asking – despite the all too many warnings. Now, when releasing an eBook of my own, I take care that around 5-10 of my MSN contacts – either past people that I’ve done business with, or friends of mine (who probably fall under the first category too). With those people getting review copies, as well as the 2-3 I give out to reputed members in the thread, there should be no reason for you not to know whether the product is crap or not – right?

Wrong! Even with a thread that had received 21 pages of feedback, 99% positive (for the one that wasn’t, see Mr Idiot Carlos in the post below), i’ve still gotten people asking for ‘review copies’ – argh! For one such example, see the post below; I politely told him there weren’t any left.

That’s one twit – when there was only 15 pages of positive reviews. The idiot I met today though, didn’t ask me for a review copy – he asked someone else, a member that had already reviewed it in the past. After the matter was politely brought to me attention – apparently the member had PMed me with no response – which was slightly fishy, but believable – anyways, because he didn’t get a response, he added another member on MSN (why do that when I have my MSN address displayed in my profile?) and asked if he could see a copy. This is the same member who alerted me to the fact, and after hearing that – I didn’t want to think the worst, but added the c*nt on MSN myself to see whether he was full of sh!t, or a genuine buyer who had just been unlucky.

No offense (well, plenty, actually) but the highlighted thing above is the dumbest thing I have ever read (and I’ve read quite a few dumb things). Apparently, review copy distribution gives those who have reviewed distribution rights – now, I’ve only been a wannabe webmaster a couple months, but what the fook!

Names Alex, DP username perry. As I said, I have no problem naming idiots – if it’s someone that reads this blog or I’ve know about before, I’ll refrain, but a total newbie – sucks for him.

Alright, the prizes – emailed the eBooks, check. Pushed the website, check. Emailed the sponsors about the winners, check. I’ll contact the people for the two proxy websites on MSN/via email – I’ve got Mark online daily and as for Josh, I’ll hit you up with the details when you decide what website you want reviewed. As for the free proxy hosting I promised – seems like my good ole $200 a month server can’t be arsed with addon accounts, so I’m not sure what I can do. To EGK, Hamza and Sammy – either you can change the nameservers and email my proxy files so I can host it for you – I can’t give you guys access to the server unfortunately as I have fifteen sites there. Another thing we could do is a special ‘review post’ just for you three about any website (no porn etc etc) of your choice; let me know what you guys think. Apologies!
