A few of you guys asked about what happened to the post I promised – I promised to write one on here guaranteeing a $500+ site flip.
This post will show you how to create a niche website that you can flip for $500 or more, however that actually wasn’t the post I was talking about.
I had a different idea for this one… instead of telling you, why not show you?
Now for past posts I’ve written on here, I couldn’t show you exact examples of successes I’ve had for a few reasons – fear of competition in profitable niches, buyer protection (when you start selling larger websites, buyers want things signed, like a non-disclosure or non-compete form for example) or other reasons.
However now I’ve specifcally setup a website for flipping – I’m going to work on it, spending no more than 30 minutes a day; and after one month, I’ll list it on Sitepoint.
Unlike other similar flipping case studies (which have been done before, like for example the CowPetition) I’m not going to list the URL here, or even mention it to you guys until the sale – I don’t want things like the readership behind this blog distorting the statistics. And I will not laze myself out of doing this project, mainly because it’s already been started.
Around 3-4 days ago, I started this, and as of now around 10 people know about it (just so that they can keep an eye and follow it, to see that I’m not pulling stuff out of thin air). Here’s the statistics for the last 3-4 days, since I acquired it:
- Nearly 50 RSS subscribers
- More than 1,000 uniques
- $20 revenue
I’m aiming for around 100 RSS subscribers and around $500 revenue – I’m going to use marketing strategies that I’ll reveal to you guys when I’m done.
The eventual goal is to flip this one for four figures, but as I’m only spending 30 minutes a day or less I’ll be happy enough with anything over $500.
If you really want to know what the website is, contact me privaely and I’ll tell you – however, I’m not going to mention it on here. Can’t do this anymore because I got around 30 – 50 IMs within the last hour asking for the URL, which obviously won’t work. All will be revealed at the end of the month!
If you have any ideas for what you’d like to see with regards to this site flip, let me know as I’ve still got the full month left.
If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!

@ all – contact me via instant messenger if you want the URL, don’t want to post it here as it’ll send a couple hundred to 500 users which will distort stats. I want newbies to benefit from this flip, those without an established userbase.

Guys – I’ve updated the post, no can do with the site URL… there’s just too much interest! Thanks for being an active member of TUK and being interested, but if I give out the site link to 100+ people that obviously won’t work. Will post about it at the end of the month, guess you guys will have to wait till then… sorry!

Keeping people anxious and wanting more is always a good marketing tool. You know people will constantly come back checking to see if they were right or whatever it is that you were telling them or are going to show them. Nice job keeping up everyone’s curiosity.

50 RSS Subscribers in 3-4 days?
At this rate of growth, it may overtake your existing blog. I think you may even decide to keep it after a month.

If you’re getting 50 RSS subscribers in less than a week since its launch, I don’t know if flipping it will be a good idea.
