Those of you that have been around for some time may ask the question… “again?!?!?!”
Sadly, yes. The same reason as last time, too.
Lack of time.
I don’t have the time to run the number of sites I currently run. And in the short run, although guest posts and outsourcing posts work, in the long run they really don’t.
A site needs to grow, and I don’t have the time to grow this one.
Maybe you’ve noticed the quality of posts slowly declining, maybe not. I have.
Anyways, basically I want someone to take over that is a reasonable marketer and knows what they’re doing. Someone with drive and the ability to take it to the next level.
I’ve listed the blog at Sitepoint.
Starting bid is $100 and the reserve is very, very, very low (you’d be surprised
); don’t be afraid to put in a bid, one of you may be able to own this for pretty cheap.
Ultimately, if it doesn’t sell, I’ll do the same thing as last time – outsource posts till summer and promote it if I have time then.
Hopefully it does though and you guys will have a new person running the site with killer content.
Again, it was wonderful running this blog and I’ve made a lot of friends through this… a social blog isn’t a great money maker relative to time put in but it’s a great thing for networking. I’d like to thank anyone that’s ever read, commented or linked to this blog – it couldn’t have grown as big as it is now without your help.

I had a feeling it was coming to this. I was starting to see less and less post. Well, you do have a pretty good page rank. $100 isn’t bad. If I do purchase this blog, I would use it for paid reviews. But I need to know, if you already have accounts with the paid review sites…if so, would you give away the accounts with the paid review sites along with the blog? I hope that question made sense to you.

More than time…once you decided to sell something (it takes a lot to decide to sell the flagship)…its hard to keep maintaining it.
I don’t know if this is the flagship blog for you….but once you decided to sell this blog a few months back, it takes a huge mental shift to come back and spend time on this site again and develop it further.
Hope it does sell this time and fall into the right hands. Good luck mate.

Yeah I remember you selling it before, funny to think of it too I have only been here a year now, since the beginning of April, though it seems like such a long time in blogging years. I think it reached its peak in July or August, I know most blogs did including mine.
Anyway good luck, I might stay in touch, I don’t know about many of your other blogs but I’m sure I’ll find them some time. Good luck with the sale.

It can be tough if it’s sold, as the new owners usually can never replicate the style and strength of the existing writing. Still, it’s probably true that if you can’t commit the time to it, that it’s better for everyone this way.
Best of luck getting sales on it! Hope it goes well.
