DecemberToo Many Ideas – Not Enough Time?
Being a guy with a slight problem on concentrating on things, I tend to always come up with ideas – mostly when I’m supposed to be studying (like now); while they seem amazing at the time, a lot of them turn out to be total shite or involve a great deal of that thing called ‘work’ – something I’m not very good at.
. Here’s a small look at a few projects I wanted to start – but fell off or resigned to the scrap heap because I didn’t really have time. I’d estimate a good $500 or so lost on domains, hosting and stuff bought just for these sites – ah well. Here’s a few ideas – some of them are ongoing, some of them are future projects and some of them are totally dead.
1) ILoveIM clone
The guys who said they’d do it cheap/for free died, so I’m left with a few offerings of a price range anywhere between $1500 – $3000. Not chump change by any means; and with that amount of money going out, I want to be fully in control of everything – I’ll need a lot of time on my hands, which of course I don’t have with the fookin’ exams coming up. Something for the background, but if/when I get the time and the money, I’ll concentrate on it – the initial profits will not be high, which is why I want to not focus on it too much for now – it does have the potential to be a huge money spinner due to the lack of competition, but we’ll see.
2) Social Networking Website for Money Makers
I had two plans for this – the first one was an idea about having a young money making social network; I even bought the cheesy domain YoungCash.net, but later on decided that it might be better to expand it for all ages – basically a cross of MyBlogLog and Facebook. Now, the Agriya Facebook clone script costs $349 fresh, and it’s supposed to be a real b!tch to use – I’ll be looking into this in the future, but again – initial profits will not be that high, and until I have enough money to play with – this will be on the backburner.
3) An amazing proxy network
The proxy I was scammed out of was earning a stable $20 ish a day – my idea was build, say thirty of them and go wild. It doesn’t work out like that of course – I bought the 30 domains and paid for a dedicated server, but having not promoted most of them, only a couple are earning – I stand to make less off Adsense this month than I did last, but ah well; I’ll probably hire a few people to promote them – even if you get 30 sites at say $1 a day (with a couple of them hitting ‘big time’ with $10 a day) that’s some decent passive income
This is moving along, although not as fast as I’d like – I suppose we haven’t done enough promotion on it so it’s only us to blame. The content – mainly freebies will hopefully see an upgrade to more useful posts in the next few days – it has 13 RSS subscribers already, most of which from mine/Mark’s blog – pretty alright for a little promoted website, but nothing spectacular. More on that in the next month.
5) BUTTSECKS.tv
This was mainly an idea I had for a bit of a joke, but it could have gone viral – basically take all the LOLcat/Owl pictures and combine them into a slideshow of hilarity for people to watch. I even started looking for scripts and stuff, when I decided to type in the .COM version – a lovely porn website.
The domain (.TV) still isn’t registered, so if you want to have a go feel free; I’m thinking of doing that with a different name though – we’ll see.
6) Pay per install website
I read a shitty eBook on how you could use Zango and earn money every single time someone installed one of your screensavers/games/images – I even bought the domain Screensaverforme.com and planned to have a babe, cars etc subdomain (babe.screensaverforme.com) – I thought it would be pretty cool, but I decided not to go ahead with it a) because it involved a decent amount of startup work – with PAD files (and I still don’t know what the fook they are) and submitting to screensaver directories while b) Zango is also a spyware/adware program, and I know how annoying they are – wouldn’t really want people to install their toolbar, even if I was making money out of it.
7) Acne website
I had the eBook (PLR, of course), and setup a WordPress blog with a nice MFA template – the domain was BanAcne.com – it’s a dead shell though. Just didn’t have the knowledge about the articles and couldn’t be arsed to do research on probably one of the most boring topics around – it’s sitting, and if I ever find a decent, cheap content writer, I’ll set it up. Mainly something to flip, but it was more a long term thing if I wanted any serious profits – for now, creating + selling the PLR websites does just fine
SIGGL.com
This is actually going pretty well – it’s being coded at the moment, and once it is, it should be up in a couple of days. Most of the work has already been done – on a different domain, of course to avoid snoopers – it’s something that no one in the blogosphere has tried yet and I can envision it being a great success once it kicks off. Y’all will get a sneak preview before it launches of course, but bookmark the domain, and check it every so often – you might stumble across a little surprise.
9) My PR5 domain bought to sell blog posts
Still waiting on it – the seller had it transferred to Godaddy from a different registrar, so it’s in a ‘grace’ period – it will be ready (and mine, all mine
) on the 29th, at which point I will be gleefully offering blog posts in the Digital Point Link Sales section for pretty cheap (well, they’ll think it’s cheap, at least).
10) This will remain a secret
I’m working on a pretty big project – only maybe an hour a day for now, but once exams are over, I’ll put in some serious time into this – I’ve spoken it over with a couple people and the estimate is that it will generate around $10,000+ a month – startup. Obviously that will be split between partners, but at the moment it’s just me and someone else – $5000 a month still sounds good, and that’s just the money start up – the potential is so, so much more.
I will fill you in on details eventually.
11) Aweber – email list building
Most of the pros have email lists; I’ve really got to start one, because the people who can be arsed to signup – that’s half the work right there. Obviously this is good to spam get people to buy my products – because everyone (well, not really – but let’s pretend they do) knows that those who buy from you once are pretty likely to do so again
Anyways, that’s all (well, all the ones I could be arsed to write about) the ideas I’ve implemented over the last month or so – what about you, how many dead ideas do you have lying around?
Talk later – study time!
SIGGL project looks promising!.. and yeah builiding aweber email list is good idea to sell your stuffs at discount if so i ll be your first member
remember the discount thingy for EXCLUSIVE members?
