Whilst I don’t really care about it – in the end, PageRank is just a number and doesn’t really affect you, there are a lot of people that do – and there are webmasters that work for hours and hours on tweaking their sites, all the while aiming for the highest possible pagerank. Now, one of the easiest ways to do this is by getting high ranked backlinks to your site – these backlinks have got to be dofollow, so that the the ‘PR juice’ is passed on – a problem most webmasters have had is first of all finding those blogs, and then finding the pages of those blogs that have pagerank – remember, not all internal pages of a website carry it.

Today I came across two useful sites that will help you do this.

First off, how do you find dofollow blogs? Well, you can download one of those toolbars that tell you and randomly browse for blogs with them – or you can use the Dofollow Searcher Tool and search for blogs with dofollow. Now, the site is fairly new – this blog hasn’t even been added there yet – however, it still has a decent database – one that can be proven with a search for the term ‘Make Money Online’ (or anything you’d be interested in getting backlinks from).

So, that’s the blogs found. After that, you will have to make sure that the posts you comment on have pagerank – yes, the homepage might be a PR4, but if the internal pages do not have any it is no use commenting on them (if your intention is to build high PR backlinks). This can be solved by another nifty site – one that was recommended to me by I Am Jack’s Design – it’s a site that tells you which pages (internal) carry pagerank. Sadly TUK only has internal pages of PR1, so all the times I told you you’d be getting PR3 backlinks – looks like I lied

After spending most of the day browsing the internet (instead of working on my sites) – I came across another widget – a lot of you may have seen it before; it’s called ScratchBack. Now, it is pretty similar to Text Link Ads however it offers the option of buyers choosing their own prices – I’m thinking of adding this to replace the current ShoutMix chat box, as that is rarely used – what are your thoughts? Here’s what Scratchback looks like:

I’m considering it – starting off at $1 a slot, with ten spots total. What needs to be seen is whether they have a widget to fix the unusual colour scheme of this site (remember, gold, not orange :) ) – they apparently make custom ones for free during the beta stage so it’s something to look at.

My server started working again and thus the imaged.us site is back – thanks to all those that alerted me during the day (seeing as I don’t check my sites, I would have not known) – feel free to use it (and spread the word  ) if you need to. I’ve got a decent idea of how to promote the image hosting site, but am severely lacking with regards to promoting the URL shortener – considering its an area I can’t find a lot of information about, if I stumbled across something and it hit off… my next eBook, perhaps? :D

Speaking of eBooks, I’m in touch with a client that wants one on affiliate marketing done, and if that’s done well perhaps a few more… I’ve received 50% up front payment for that and will commence working on it shortly. Considering I know f all about affiliate marketing, I will have to put in a decent amount of effort – we’ll see how it turns out. I’ve already written the introduction, which is the easiest bit – still about 2,000 words or so to go. At least this keeps me working, aye? Better than lazying around surfing the net, at least…

I got details about the hosting for my Facebook application – apparently it’s ready, and all I have to do is transfer it. Sounds like work! I’ll do that ASAP, after the eBook, and the site promoting… and everything else ;)

My mailing list is slowly moving towards 150 – I wrote up a second email for it which should go out tomorrow. I included an eBook in that email, as well as a cry to all those that want to make an extra $100 a week flipping sites; the eBook is pretty basic, considering I wrote it back when I was an IM newb… a few of you should find it interesting. If you can’t wait for tomorrow (don’t even know if it’ll deliver due to the shittiness of the email service) you can download the sucker through the link in my RSS feed – that link is (hopefully) protected as I used the Feed Footer plugin, so take a look and it should be there. A few of you may already have it – meh.

I’ve been thinking of ways to take this site to the next level – now that I have the header done, I’ll be looking at guest posting on a few others blogs… maybe even some video blogging? We’ll see. Considering I don’t have a webcam or a microphone… I’ll put that in the list of ‘things to do’ (which is about thirty pages long in MS Word  ).

Anyways, last but not least, I came across the interesting (to say the least) sale of Incredimazing.com – it received a BIN offer of $25,000 with claimed traffic of 1.3 million pageviews a week. Now, for that traffic the price may be worth it, however take a look at the Alexa chart – until the beginning of January, the site had the same level as TUK. Looks like someone gamed Stumble Upon and Digg, eh? :)

That’s all for today. Feel free to leave your dofollow PR3 PR1 comments, and check the RSS footer (or fooking subscribe if you haven’t already  ) for your free eBook..

Remember, you can also subscribe by email if you wish. :)

Just checked my feedburner stats, and finally got this. Who wants to celebrate?

New to the Page Rank Gang is Izearanks.com – Google needs a little competition in this arena.

Besides I was one of the ones that got slapped by Google from a PR3 to a PR0, and I can’t figure out why.

Pagerank is a tough thing to follow. Seems like every update my sites change. One update they go up, the next they go down. Not sure what I am doing different each time to cause this phenomena!?

Hey thanks for the dofollow search tool

Pagerank is way too much overestimated IMHO.
If you have goodcontent and traffic pagerank automatically follows as
    sure as rabbits multiplies

Very good! I’m going to try a few of these sites. I tried Scratchback for a few days and it does work, however it messed up my wordpress theme so I had to take it down. Scratchback is not so configurable in size and type so I am considering Project Wonderful now.
