Remember when I said a month ago that I was going to take a serious look at marketing this blog? Well here we go. 
By the way, this could be the longest ever post on my blog, so if you’re not up for that, scroll down 
I update every day if possible, yet the money I make off this website and the amount of people that read it nowhere near matches what I feel TUK should be at… it’s time to change all that, and what better way to do that then with a kick-ass contest that gets all of you free stuff. This contest will work on a points system, but one that will be a helluva lot easier than Excel sheets as I’ll be using Random.org. Essentially what will happen is that I will cut and paste your email into their list randomizer for every single point you get – the more points, the more times you appear and the more chance of winning something (or many things).

All you have to do is subscribe through RSS via email, and at the end I’ll export the list through Feedburner. Simple, eh?
3 points – end up as a top commentator in the sidebar
End up as one of the top ten commentators in the sidebar and you’ll not only get three entries, but also a nice PR3 link pointing back to your website
6 points – blog about this
Blog about this contest on your website and you’ll get six entries.
I have only three asks for the blog post.
a) A 50+ word paragraph review of TUK, linking to the contest post and discussing the site.
b) A cut and paste of the contest prizes. Here’s the HTML for the lazy ones out there
c) A 50+ word paragraph talking about the prize you’d like most and why (be creative!)
Don’t want to make this too complicated, so that’s them rules. At the end of this contest, which is April 5th, I’ll conduct a live draw (more about that later) and virtually pull the names out of a list using Random.org.
To make it better for the lazy ones out there that don’t want to blog, I’m putting up Themes from the Themes Club only for those of you that blog about this. The first forty bloggers that follow the requirements above will each get one account to the Themes Club + four more to give away on their blog to their readers – that’s a $25 value right there. I’ll also send $75.00 Paypal cash to the blog that sends the most visitors my way during the contest.

Brian Garder is probably the man who started the whole ‘Premium Theme’ craze… with some kick-ass designs, it’s pretty easy to see why. Along with the Revolution theme, Brian has also created the Tech, Sports and Pro versions, all of which look pretty good
Adii is a self proclaimed ‘Wordpress rockstar’ and along with a few professional looking themes, Adii also has produced quirky, fun themes – ones that some of the biggest bloggers around use. Adii also runs an interesting blog, one that is regularly updated with the latest goings on in Wordpress and the themes marketplace.
Wordpress Themes Market does not have the history of the above two, however albeit new, they have already started making waves in the blogging marketplace, especially with their launch of a pretty kick-ass Purple Fever theme, one that could be used for any blog and just oozes elegance.
Small Potato runs a well manned ship over at WPDesigner.com and the release of his new themes club, a place that offers at least 12 themes a year for just $5 total is something pretty phenomenal – no longer will bloggers be stuck with a free theme that thousands before them have used, and they’ll have found the club pretty affordable.

Fruitful Time and I have have known each other for pretty long relative to the time I’ve been online… they interviewed me for another website of theirs and have been pretty friendly whenever I’ve needed help. They’ve donated three copies of their Task Manager software, which is pretty cool for keeping yourself in good time for various activities
Blog analysis
Marcus has donated probably the most innovative prize yet… a near-hour long video blog review of your website as well as steps on how you can improve it. With an interesting blog to read, and a prize that means he’s spending quite a bit of his time, I’d like to thank him a lot for hopefully putting the ‘oomph’ into this… you’d all love such a review, wouldn’t you?

The Net Fool and I got off to a rocky start but we’re all good now; he’s donated a legit copy of Aaron Wall’s SEO Book, that normally retails at $80 and has now gone off the shelves… this could well be the last chance you get one of these. Wayne Liew runs an informative blog with quite a bit of helpful content for both those that are new and old to the blogging industry – check his website out for some kick ass blogging tips
Blogger Noob runs a different blog compared to quite a lot of the ‘make money online’ ones out there – with personal experiences and innovative content it’s worth a read every now and again
EZ Money Online and Dot Com Mogul are both run by Suzanne and although they are updated infrequently they contain valuable content for the eyes of newbies to the internet marketing game.
Affiliate Gossip is run by a talented designer who is also offering a custom created 125 x 125 banner just for one of you guys in this contest; something that will gain you quite a few click throughs if you use paid advertising or a medium like Entrecard.
Da Blogger is a personal friend that I helped get started up in the world of blogging – he’s offering up a review for you guys to use on his website

Yimto is an affiliate marketing blog that I only came across a few days ago… it’s packed with information to get you started out in the cutthroat world that is aff marketing as well as his personal experiences.
Bloggeries is a forum I recently joined – it’s full with helpful members that are willing to critique a blog at nearly any given time. They’ve sponsored a blog post bloggery which is a review for those of you that don’t use the term yet.
Entrecard sponsors
Xavier Media run a whole network of websites including hosting and a blog – they’re the people who have sponsored a decent 2,000 credits, which gets you advertising on TUK for a month or so

Money making student is run by someone pretty similar to me – a student who’s trying to make money online. Lives in a different location, but we both want as much cash as possible
Bud Calabrese is another one who recently got a redesign, one that looks pretty fluid… he offers prizes for being a top commentator so head on over if you like winning things…
- ImpNerd is a blog run by Gary that talks about Internet Marketing & Publishing. It follows one of the latest posts pretty well – writing great content to keep visitors interested
Money Making Blogs talks about well… making money with a blog of your own, as well as how to refine your blogging techniques and other stuff related to internet marketing in general.
Cash
The Profit Hustler donated $100 in cold hard Paypal cash… something that can help you get started off in the world of internet marketing, and not a bad amount at all.
Final Fantasy Fan is the second highest cash donor with $15.00… something that could buy you a couple domains for some new websites you want to start. My only recommendation is to get a domain of their own

Niklas runs a Stumble service and has put up 300 Stumbles + 300 reviews to let one of you try it out and experience a surge of traffic to your site.
One Buck Wiki destroys Million Dollar Wiki in terms of price (they’ve also released Quarter Wiki I believe) and has kindly sponsored twenty pages… you could use them to rank highly for your name in the search engines if nothing else
Domains Earn 4 U is run by a frequent commentator on here (Misty) and will help you turn your unused domains into a stream of cash if you tweak them correctly. You gotta install the package, but it’s going to help you make money so it’s worth it
SEO Tree Directory is just starting out and have put up a total of four free links for you to gain maximum exposure for your site, as they’ll be promoting it heavily.

Just trying to remember the questions/issues I had with the PB giveaway (which was over $65k in prizes with over 150 individual items/winners). Running a giveaway isn’t easy, and I give you all the credit in the world to be running such a big one on your own!

Working on the post right now (for the last couple hours) and hope to have it done before midnight (I’m making a single post, about this contest and another one which is similar).
Wanted to go ahead and comment though, that I used your “lazy man” html text but cleaned it up (for consistency, I moved some tags around and modified some category headings), reorganized some of it (shifted a few categories to more appropriate locations), and added functionality (tags to make links open in a “PRIZE” or “SPONSOR” target window). So far I also found a duplicate link (one with no anchor text, mysteriously placed after the anchored one) to Dot Com Mogul, under Blog Advertising>One Month (the last 125×125 sponsor) which I deleted. I have saved the modified code to a .txt file if you’d like me to email it to you (you can tell me to shut up already if you don’t care :-p)
Thanks again for your hard work in putting this all together. I have my fingers crossed that I win it all!

AAAALRIGHTYTHEN… phew, finally done with this monstrosity:

I wound up deciding to make most all links open in “_blank” target windows (too much work worrying about prize or sponsor when it didn’t really make a difference), leaving only pages on the respective contest owners’ sites to open in a single separate window (you got a “TUK” and they got a “WTW”).
Understanding the “more than one link = unnecessary” philosophy, I was curious why there were two that had ghost links (dotcommogul and mrjavo both had an additional link immediately after their respective ad sponsorships, which had no anchor text) and I consequently deleted those additional ones. Hope that clears it up (probably like mud).
I do have it all saved in a .txt document, but when I would transfer between the blogger edit html screen and the document, there would be extra spaces and line returns that I had to take out in the edit window (guess notepad’s word wrap isn’t compatible with blogger) but I can easily copy the code and email it, or you could view the source and copy it yourself, if you’re interested (might not like my revisions after all).
Okie dokie, it’s way past my bedtime and I’ve been on here all day (DOH!), so have a great night and keep me updated!
