HostICan has really changed. I don’t think that this is true anymore. I’ve been with them for 2 years now…. they are great. I can honestly say, that no matter when you call, they answer.

1) I didn’t have control of the domain – it was with them. I asked them to do it – had they done so, all it would take is the time from when they shut down the server to when they changed nameservers.

However, they didn’t change namesevers so the delay was extended to 10 days…

1. Why didn’t you transfer the nameservers yourself before cancelling?
2. How did 72 hour’s delay turn into 10 day’s delay?
